we have been kindly asked by one of our alumni, Céline Felix, who is now working as a junior professional officer at the ILO, to share the following message with you. It was send to her by one of her partners, a French mutual heath organization called MGEN, which, together with other organizations, created a network that aims to expand solidarity based social protection systems with the support of people working in the education field (teachers, etc.).
“Dear colleague,
My name is Sylvie Grasso and I am the Coordinator of the Education and Solidarity Network I would like to introduce my network:
AIM (Association internationale de la mutualité),
IE (l’Internationale de l’education)
and MGEN (Mutuelle générale de l’éducation nationale)
have decided to create a network with the objectives to strengthen and expan solidarity based social protection systems with the support of educators worldwide.
We are looking for contacts worldwide:
- to establish health protection experts data base
- to provide assistance to create mutual benefit systems where there is the need
- to develop and promote teacher-led project or initiatives in the services of mutual benefit systems
- to provide training in this field”
